Laura Lacey is a teacher and her books are just an extension of that love of learning. She earned her undergraduate and graduate degrees in liberal studies and history from Mary Washington College and the University of Texas at Arlington, respectively. She is U.S. Representative of the Battle of Okinawa Museum, an award winning educator and a lover of Marine Corps history. She is the author of Stay Off the Skyline: An Oral History of the Sixth Marine Division and Ortiz: To Live a Man’s Life. She is the daughter, wife and mother of Marines. She teaches both college and high school history in Virginia where she lives with her family.
